DESCRIPTION:In the Gospel of John\, Jesus makes seven statements about hims
 elf that creatively and clearly reveal his true identity\, character a
 nd purpose. When we see Jesus more clearly\, we can also expect to r
 eceive more clarity on our own identity\, character and purpose. Root
 ed in Jesus’ own self-descriptions\, we humans then find ourselves defi
 ned. \nOur invitation to our artists is to consider these statements that
  Jesus makes about himself: \n\nI am the bread of life (John 6:25–59)\n
 I am the light of the world (John 9:1–12)\nI am the door for the sheep (
 John 10:1–10)\nI am the good shepherd (John 10:11-18\, 25–29)\nI am th
 e resurrection and the life (John 11:1–44)\nI am the way\, the truth and
  the life (John 14:5–14)\nI am the true vine (John 15:1–17)\n\nThis wi
 ll be an informal show on display in our lobby and auditorium for three we
 eks\, from October 18 – November 1. Please note that we will also be hos
 ting a reception for this exhibit on Sunday\, November 1\, from 1:00–2:3
 0pm. There will be space for performing artists to share their work at thi
 s reception\, and for all artists to introduce themselves.
