At first glance, Luke 22:39–46 might seem like quite a simple, straightforward story — but this particular passage is special: it’s unique because it allows us to see the interior struggle of Jesus. And it’s important because it shows us the moment when Jesus yielded his own will and, in prayer, gained the strength to do what he had been called to do.
