We would like to invite you to our annual Women’s Day — a special time of connection for the women in our community to grow in relationship. It's our hope that this time of worship, good food, learning, sharing, and serving the marginalized will help to prepare our hearts for the Advent season.
Our theme for our time together is Finding Freedom in Who God Says I Am and Who God Made Me to Be. John 8 tells us that knowing Jesus brings freedom, but how do we grow into that freedom? During our time together, we'll talk about how believing what Jesus says about who we are transforms us, and how discovering our unique God-given strengths can help us to play the role we were meant to in the world.
We will get the chance to hear some teaching about identity, hear the stories of two amazing women in our community, as well as get time to learn more about our strengths and talk about them in small groups. It's going to be a great day of learning, and, as always, it will be a chance to laugh and build relationships with others.
Our afternoon will give us a space to work together to assemble toiletry kits and write cards for the homeless and vulnerable in our community. These kits will be given out by a team through Fraser Health that provides medical and mental health care for the homeless and most vulnerable in our communities.
We would love to invite you to bring items for these toiletry kits. If you would like to donate items towards these bags you may do so here.
