Many are familiar with the Christmas story: Mary and Joseph, angels, shepherds, and a baby in a manger. That's St. Luke’s version of things. Alternatively, we find a wide shot of the Christmas story in St. John's Gospel. John zooms out and zooms in; cosmic in scale, yet still as intimate as a candle in your window. "The light shines in the darkness, and darkness has not overcome it...” (John 1). Christmas is about Jesus bringing light and life to everyone and everything.
