For over 15 years, we have had a practice to set aside 5% of general funds donated to Living Waters Church, to give away at various times of the year. We call this fund our “Generosity Fund.”
We give to organizations and projects globally out of our Global Work fund, but we also give to organizations and projects locally in our neighbourhoods, that serve people including the vulnerable, the unhoused, and the elderly.
Throughout our history, we’ve been able to support the Langley Christmas Bureau, local bus ministries, community services, and even purchase a hospital bed. Some ways we’ve given end up in our regular ministry budgets — for example, our prison ministry has become so ingrained in the life of the church, that we have allocated gift bags for a local women's prison in our ministry budgets to see this happen consistently.
Christmas is about being generous. This December, we are giving:
We understand that Living Waters Church doesn’t give in these ways without you giving generously in the way you do. Please continue to give generously as we approach the new year. We need to keep bringing “light and life” as we serve our neighbourhoods, locally and globally with our hands and with our resources.
