Extreme violence in Myanmar has forced Rohingya families to flee the state. Homes and fields have been set on fire, family members have been killed and the intensity continues.

More than 700,000 Rohingya people have fled their homes and have poured into Bangladesh to escape violence.

Living Waters values generosity. Generosity in the communities we live and generosity throughout the world. In the midst of crisis, we can help provide for those who are unable to provide for themselves at present.

With this heart, Living Waters Church has set the goal of giving $5000 through ERDO to provide life-saving food and clean water to Rohingya families who have fled to Bangladesh.

  • $100 will feed one refugee family with rice, lentils, oil, salt and sugar for five months.
  • $55 will provide one refugee family with an emergency kit to help survive monsoon season. Kit includes: flashlights for security, replacement clothing/shoes, hygiene kits and shelter needs.
  • $1,169 will provide clean water through the installation of a deep tube-well within the refugee camps.

At this time, the Canadian Foodgrains Bank will match contributions 4:1meaning that the Living Waters gift of $5000 will be matched by $20,000.
