What the Gospel does to our everyday
July/August 2014
"Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives…whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father." - Paul to the Colossians (3.16-17)
The first Christians firmly believed that God belonged in the everyday. God wasn’t preserved in a box, like some sort of divine fine china, emerging only on Sundays or for special occasions. He belonged at the table, in conversation, in the home, and at the work place.
Gospel means “good news”. When our lives are founded on, and our identities are rooted in the good news, we’ll begin to discover the good life.
