“God blesses you are poor...love your enemies…forgive and you will be forgiven…what you say flows from what is in your heart…”
Our return to Luke’s gospel in chapters six and seven means a return to some of Jesus’ most famous and profound teachings. These are anything but soundbites or well-worn clichés; these words shaped and continue to shape a healthy vision of human life. And Jesus encourages us to listen “…like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock.” (Luke 6.48)
