Temples and Cornerstones, Part 1

Acts 4:5–22 is Peter's third speech in Jerusalem, and is similarly highly charged as the first two. For the first time, we have a confrontation — and since it involves all of Jerusalem’s and Israel’s heavyweights, it’s as serious as it gets. This is not a single speech, but a series of exchanges, and with a particular emphasis on the authorities’ response.
