Pentecost Sunday is the day when the church celebrates the sending of the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is about the person, the presence, and the power of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of the Lord Jesus himself dwelling in us and working through us, in many ways, it really is that simple. And yet, believers over the years have tended to muddle things. When it comes to discussions about the Holy Spirit, especially on a day like today, it's best to stay close to Scripture. And that's what we've been doing through the book of Acts, through these last number of months. And our passage in Acts today is actually a wonderful snapshot of the expansive life of the Spirit in some of the early believing communities. What do we hear about the priorities of the Spirit, here in this small slice of Acts?
