1 Thessalonians 3:9–13

With the enormity of the pressures the fledgling Thessalonian Christians were facing—they really are the leading edge of a new world, but the old will not go quietly—we can begin to grasp something of Paul’s overwhelming joy and thankfulness to God, that the battered Thessalonians are steadfastly enduring.
