1 Thessalonians 5:12–15
1 Thessalonians 5:12–15

The back half of the letter is both highly practical and personal. What Paul shares in these concluding words is both in line with the rest of the letter (what is particular to the church in Thessalonica) but it’s also general and fairly consistent across Paul’s writing. So, what do we see emphasized among the first Christians at the end of a very early letter like this? Beginnings and endings are especially important to pay attention to in literature, and this goes for Paul’s letters in the New Testament too.
