In the Gospel of Luke, we are in the final week of Jesus’ life. Jesus has been declaring that being God’s people is no longer about following the Law and offering sacrifices in the temple, but is about loving and following Him. Now, Jesus goes a step further to say that the temple will soon be destroyed. As Jesus’ followers ask when this is going to happen, they are told to not be deceived, and to not be afraid.
