We invite you to give this month of May to help with food scarcity in Sudan. Right now, 24.6 million people in Sudan are experiencing extreme hunger. Without intervention, this has the potential to be the largest hunger crisis in recent history. With up to 640,000 people in Sudan already experiencing famine-like conditions and access to food further deteriorating, we need to help suffering men, women and children quickly.
On Sunday, May 24, we will hear from Andy Harrington, Executive Director of Canadian Foodgrains Bank, who has just returned from Sudan this month.
Thank you, Living Waters, for your response to the Sudan in Hunger Crisis.
As we have been told, right now, over 24.6 million people in Sudan are experiencing extreme hunger. Without intervention, this has the potential to be the largest hunger crisis in recent history. Over the past three weeks, our community has given over $40,700.
Our giving is also being matched 4:1 by the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. Through these partnerships, over $200,000 is now being given to this humanitarian crisis.
