This Sunday
This Sunday, Rebeca is closing out our two-part series, where we've been exploring the meaning behind our church’s name and discovering our identity as a community. We're also changing up our typical service order to allow for a longer worship & prayer time after the sermon! It's going to be an amazing Sunday full of worship, prayer, and community, and we can't wait to see you! For more infomation visit:

River BaptismsSunday, September 1 Water baptism is a significant step in our faith journey. It's a public demonstration of our faith that Jesus models in the New Testament, and is symbolic of cleansing, death and resurrection. Baptisms are happening next on Sunday, September 1st during our services. Please note that our services for Sunday, September 1 will be at 9:00am and 11:00am, to accommodate the River Baptisms happening between the services. For more infomation visit:

Fall Service TimesBegins Sunday, September 8 Because of our value of Generosity, Living Waters has always been a room-making community. On September 8th we’re moving to fall services times of: 8:45am • 10:15am • 11:45am Kids@theFort will gather in the 8:45am & 10:15am, with nursery (ages 0-2) available in those services also. If you’ve customarily joined us for the second service, consider the 8:45am or 11:45am as an option this fall when able. We also hope this adjustment adds incentive for more families to join us for the 8:45am service, making Kids@theFort a little roomier in the 10:15am. Thanks for making our church a more hospitable and helpful place–we’re looking forward to a great fall together! |

Acknowledging Grief: A WorkshopSunday, September 22 & 29 Grief is many things and expresses itself in many forms. It’s felt in our lives. It’s painful. We grieve for many reasons, none that deserves to ‘one-up’ the other: a broken relationship, the death of a loved one, a health diagnosis, or a significant life change, or feeling the residue of grief walking through the above with someone we care about. Grief isn’t a problem to solve, an issue to grow out of, a thorn in the flesh, or something to get over. It’s not linear with a clear step-by-step process or a project to medicate and distract from. We don’t get to hop over grief with rose-coloured glasses. Jesus promises comfort in amongst our grief and pain. He draws near to us, as we are. We want this workshop to be a safe place to help us discover how grief is best acknowledged and understood. It will give us language to help our journeys and those we are walking with. Through the Arts: "As One Who Serves"Call for submissions If you are a poet or painter; if you sketch, quilt, sculpt, or create any other form of visual or written art, we would invite you to share your work with us! This will be an informal show, on display in our lobby and auditorium for three weeks. If children or families wish to participate, they are also welcome to do so. There is no skill level required for participation—we simply want to receive our community's creative reflection on what it means to follow Jesus into service. Submissions need to be brought to the church by Sunday, October 13th. If you would like to participate, will will need you to sign up here by October 6th. Questions can be directed to Kirsten Anonby.
