Willoughby Kids is a place where kids can belong, make friends, ask questions, and discover who Jesus is.
We believe every child is unique, so we create experiences that are flexible, engaging, and welcoming for children of different ages and stages. Some kids are loud and full of energy. Others are quiet and take their time. Some love being in the spotlight, while others are happiest watching from the sidelines before jumping in. That's okay. We want every child to feel safe, included, and valued for who they are.
Through stories, activities, conversations, and caring relationships, we're helping kids grow in faith and learn that they are deeply loved by God and by our community.
Once a month, we adapt our regular kids program and invite children to join us during our gathering's worship time. We love creating opportunities for kids and adults to worship together, learn from one another, and experience what it means to be part of God's family across generations.
On these Sundays, we also bring everyone together to share a meal as a church family. It's a natural part of our rhythm as a community, creating space for conversations, friendships, and relationships to grow across generations. We love having our kids with us, not just as participants, but as valued members of our church family.
Orange Curriculum & Parent Resources At Willoughby Kids, we use Orange curriculum to help children grow in a faith that is practical, engaging, and rooted in God's story. Through Bible teaching, meaningful conversations, and hands-on activities, we help kids discover who God is and what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
We also believe that parents and caregivers are the most important influence in a child's faith journey. That's why we encourage families to use the Parent Cue app, which provides conversation starters, devotionals, and resources that connect what children are learning on Sundays with everyday life at home.
Our hope is that faith isn't limited to an hour on Sunday, but becomes an ongoing conversation that grows in homes, around dinner tables, and throughout the rhythms of family life.
The best way to encourage a child's faith to grow is through a fun, safe, and child-friendly environment. Our quality care includes the requirement for all our staff and volunteers to learn the Child Protection Policy and to complete a criminal record check. Your children's safety is our priority.
