It is with sadness that we let our community know that on May 23, 2021, our Global Worker, Henny Thormoset, passed away. In mid-December of 2020 Henny was diagnosed with cancer and after a courageous battle, she is now with Jesus.
David and Henny have been supported by Living Waters as Global Workers for over 20 years! In that time they have served faithfully with Wycliffe Canada throughout the world. One of their greatest accomplishments was seeing the New Testament translated for a people group in Cameroon. Although we mourn with the Thormoset family, we also celebrate how well Henny lived her life.
We would ask you to pray for David, their kids, and their grandchildren. Also, pray for Wycliffe Canada as they have lost a wonderful team member. We love our Global Workers! This is an opportunity to be able to stand with them in prayer as they go through difficult things.
David wrote in an email: “If Henny could write this letter right now, she would want to quote Paul: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.” (2 Tim 4:7-8)
