For many people prayer has become a confusing, burdensome even worrying thing. It is often relegated to the categories of either law or list. We might pray because we feel we should and so it becomes a task; or we might pray through a catalogue of needs, possibly de-personalizing God in the process, and often feeling more anxious than when we began. But prayer is neither law nor list. “Prayer” says Dallas Willard “is nothing but the right way for persons to interact.”

The Holy Week of Prayer exists to help us interact with God. Each year we distinguish a week to be nourished by, realign with, listen to and speak with our Creator. We set aside space and time, we learn to pray as Jesus taught, and we experience what God intends.

Prayer Rooms

Each prayer room is designed to help us focus on a specific aspect of Jesus' prayer in Matthew 6:9-13. The way Jesus prays can shape how we pray and how we understand what God doing. *Prayer Rooms are located at the Fort Langley Campus*
