As the season of Thanksgiving approaches, we have a special opportunity to spread love, warmth, and hospitality to those far from their homes. We invite families in our church to open their hearts and homes to International students from TWU's MA LEAD program, allowing them to experience the beauty of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for the first time.
It's simple! We encourage you to consider opening your homes and hearts to International students from TWU's MA LEAD program. If you choose to, inviting them to join your Thanksgiving dinner is sure to create lasting memories and potential new friendships. Here's how you can get involved:
Reach Out: Contact Kyle to express your interest in hosting an international student for Thanksgiving. We will connect you with TWU's organizers to help find an international student to host, who will provide you with the contact details of the student(s).
Plan Your Dinner: Coordinate with your guest(s) to ensure they feel welcome and comfortable. Share your family traditions and ask questions to learn about theirs. Embrace the diversity of cultures that enrich our world.
Spread the Word: Encourage other church members to participate in this heartwarming initiative. The more families that open their doors, the more international students we can serve.
Let's come together as a church family and demonstrate the love of Christ, and our core values by welcoming our international friends into our homes. This Thanksgiving, let's make a difference in the lives of these students and create a sense of belonging that transcends borders.
